    • Information Security Engineer - Full Time Direct HireOpen or Close

      Primary Functions: Provide security engineering support via network security design, analysis, testing and monitoring. Provide penetration testing support on products and devices in a lab environment prior to deployment into a live network. Work with the client to identify a clear scope for testing, create a test plan, execute penetration testing efforts against the target, and draft a report summarizing the test results. Conduct research that is the key to identifying potential attack vectors, as penetration testing will be heavily product-centric, and at times against systems that are not commonly tested.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      1. Analyze and correlate security events and implement counter-measures to mitigate against intrusion attacks.
      2. Research and recommend network security solutions, design, development, integration, testing, implementation and operational support of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and network security focused infrastructure projects.
      3. Provide network security support and solution in the design, integration, deployment, and troubleshooting of enterprise implementations.
      4. Collaborate with the network engineering to analyze network security needs / requirements and develop / implement security standards / technical solutions.
      5. Research and identify ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection / prevention technologies, secure coding practices and threat modeling.
      6. Design secure network architectures, virtualization technologies, identity and access management principles, application security, encryption technologies, DNS, SOA and web applications.
      7. Provide security engineering recommendations and assist with planning and implementation of long term projects.
      8. Troubleshoot complex multi-network firewall policy issues that may include NAT points.
      9. Responsible for understanding of incident response methodologies and assist with coordinating security incident.
      10. Maintain a strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, cookies, authentication, virus scanning, web servers, and SSL / encryption.
      11. Decode and understand traffic flow using packet level traces (skilled with TCPDUMP, PCAPs, traffic generators, etc.).
      12. Identify and reproduce common network and web site attacks such as SQL injection, cross site scripting, remote file inclusion and cookie manipulation.
      13. Maintain a working knowledge of authentication, session management, requests, and form submission processes.
      14. Maintain a working knowledge with server grade applications to include Exchange, DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active
      Directory, Identity Management, Patch Management, LDAP, and SQL.
      15. Perform IDS / IPS real-time monitoring analysis and/or network forensics.
      16. Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory and audit mandates to ensure environments meet PCI, FFIEC, NCUA and industry standards.

      Requirements:

      1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
      2. One of the following industry security certifications required: Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Information System Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker, any Level 5 GIAC Certification or other advanced level certification.
      3. Ten to fifteen years demonstrable experience managing and implementing enterprise systems / networks.
      4. Minimum of two years of experience with holistic security system engineering.
      5. Minimum experience with firewalls, IDS / IPS, endpoint solutions, proxy servers, web application firewall, security incident and event management systems, data loss prevention, routers, switches, subnet and VLANs desired.
      6. Must have experience with knowledge of SSL VPN Appliances and RSA SecurID Token environments, host based File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) solution like Tripwire or similar.
      7. Requires an in-depth knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and communication protocols in LAN / WAN deployments.
      8. Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and coordinate multiple time-sensitive activities.

The Consultant shall lead and mentor ITS stakeholders with architecting, designing and establishing various Service Management processes and control objectives required to pass an ISO/IEC 20000 audit. The project's objectives are to satisfy internal quality assurance standards, increase staff productivity, reduce long-term costs, reduce the risk of missing business objectives, improve and mature service operations model, and fulfill external marketing requirements.

      The Consultant shall assist ISD with achieving these objectives by developing a readiness and remediation set of deliverables along with associated activities to prepare for and achieve an ISO/IEC 20000 certification.
